Description
Recounting the development of public transit in Pennsylvania’s industrialized Allegheny Valley, this new book from the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is a great new addition to any northeast railfan’s library! The trolley system served the valley from the late 1800s through 1937, and continues to be remembered through present-day activities at the PTM—including the recently-completed renovation of Car 832 (“Miss Brackenridge”), which is also documented in this book. Includes a reprint of a 1930 West Penn Railways brochure which welcomed the new cars into service.
